He is widely recognized for his work in Afro-Cuban jazz, Latin jazz, and modern jazz, bringing an authentic rhythmic and cultural foundation to both his performances and original compositions.
Fluent on electric bass and double bass, Daniel’s playing is deeply rooted in Afro-Cuban tradition while embracing contemporary jazz harmony, groove, and improvisation. His musical voice reflects a strong sense of time, interaction, and stylistic depth, shaped by years of performance within the Afro-Cuban and jazz traditions.
